1st Grade Spanish

Welcome to 1st Grade Spanish! I love teaching 1st Graders! If you haven't picked up your book and cd from Monica yet, you still can! The book is $5 and the cd is $10. Please put the cd in your car and listen to it as you drive around town! Soon, your students will be telling you what these songs mean.

Beginning Piano

Welcome to Beginning Piano!

We will learn so much in this class this year, and I look forward to hearing your progress! ;)

Practice Logs are due each week and must be signed by a parent.  Please do not offer to sign your tracker for your parent. They must be signed by a parent each week and be filled in with the appropriate times for full credit. Practice Logs make up 40% of the final grade.

Participation in class is very important, as well. Please come to class prepared with a pencil, piano book, practice log and a great attitude!

Performances are mandatory and make up 20% of the final grade. Dates and times TBA.

Welcome to the 2016-2017 School Year!

At Home Expectations

Students and Parents are responsible for completing AT LEAST 120 minutes of Barton Reading each week, as well as completing the assigned reading on Learning Ally. Students will turn in their Barton Reading Logs and Learning Ally Trackers each week, signed by their parent. 

In Class

We will review Barton Lessons, Spelling Rules, Flash Cards, and play games that reinforce the Barton Lessons you are doing at home. We will also choose a book to read together on Learning Ally and discuss it, or do a project pertaining to the reading, in class. Students will learn about different parts of speech each week, have a language arts mini lesson, as well as have a riddle to solve.

Grading Policy
Grades for this class are earned by completed Barton Logs (40%), completed Learning Ally Logs (40%) and Class Participation (20%).
